The First Congregational Church has a long and proud
heritage in establishing a record that is worthy of
documenting and preserving in these contemporary times.

This fellowship has always maintained its priority of
service to others, commitment to the community in its
pastoral care, a professional, educated clergy that
assumes the role of teacher, its emphasis on music in its
worship, foreign and home missions that relate to the
church universal, and a church school that considers the
need for tomorrow’s Christian leaders.

The dream of both clergy and lay people in the past is but
a prologue to those seeking spiritual enrichment in the
future and our passion is for that continual growth by
which we recognize changeless needs in a changing
world.  May the seeds of the past, fed by our commitment
in the present, provide a future that assumes us of the
relevance of Micah’s prophecy:
